Butterfly in the sky...

Dave and I visited Denver for Valentine's Day and had a great time visiting family and friends. The Butterfly Pavillion is home to a variety of creatures including spiders, roaches, star fish, birds, and of course, butterflies. I even had the courage to hold a gigantic triantula named Rosie in my hand! Take a look at some of the amazing animals.

Our little niece Lucie wanted to touch, feel, and grab everything that moved. Usually they flew away, but she almost caught this pretty bird! In the picture below, take notice of the lovey-dovey couple in the background. About 15 seconds after we took the picture, he knelt down and proposed! I wouldn't describe this animal sanctuary as "romantic," but at least it is pretty (but not so beautiful by the fire exit emergency door.)

I'm glad you didn't take any photos of the roaches. I've seen just about enough of those.
that seems like such an awesome place.. I can't believe the butterfly will just land on your hand. talk about sweet.
you look really cute in that picture.....

You both do look cute in the picture. How funny about the couple. Apparently that's romance for them. Crazy!
